On Christmas Eve I had the immense pleasure of collecting Dad and Georgie up from the airport. They were joined by Little Sal and I by Harry who drove us all up to Canonbar. We had such an amazing time between laying by the pool, ‘leisure rafting’ down the river, helping out on the farm, visiting the horses in their paddocks and of course lots of backgammon. I then brought Georgie down to Sydney and showed her around the streets of Paddington, Newtown and the CBD. We walked from Coogee to Bondi, got the ferry across to Manly, and had lots of yummy brunches. We were also down to see the New Year in and of course watch the infamous fireworks. We made ourselves a little hamper with pro secco, bread and meats and lots of yummy things and found ourselves a little patch of grass at Hermit Bay in Vaucluse to watch from. A few days later we headed up to Palm Beach where Dad and Gillie had rented a lovely house for us. Here we lay on the beach, went waterskiing off the Don’s boat, lay on the beach and walked up to the lighthouse. We also had Ibby come and stay which was so nice. Sadly it was soon time for Georgie to get back to the hustle and bustle of London Town, and then for Dad to head back to. As sad as it was to say goodbye, we had such an amazing time together, and I could look forward to Mum and Nico arriving a couple of weeks later.
